Wow, a real winter!
Aargh, I hate it when I haven’t blogged since the dawn of time and I have to catch up like this. This time all I have to say to get caught up is “snow”. That’s right, even down here in Redmond we got so much of the heavenly white stuff that the world pretty much just stopped turning (well, at least the Pacific Northwest world). JK had to work from home for a week because we couldn’t even get our car out on the main road. We SKIED to the grocery store.
On the first snow day we skied across town to gawk at all the cars stuck on the highway, and a camera crew interviewed JK for King 5 news - hilarious. It aired live and several people recognized JK from the clip as we made our way back to the house (you never forget those yellow pants).
So yes, we had a beautiful white Christmas - and even though this was our first Christmas without a visit from our families in Norway, we had a really good time with our little family of three.
…and now that all the snow is gone down here, we can still go up to the mountains for skiing and snowshoeing.
Washington really ain’t a bad place to live.

Kunne ønske vi fikk så mye snø her i Norge :o)
Ikke verst å bli intervjuet på TV da, for å stå på ski. Tipper det ikke er den type ski som blir mest brukt i Redmond nei…..

Wow, is right! These pictures are fab. Coming from Vegas, I can’t imagine ever having to ski to the grocery store! Super cool!!

Haha, så utrolig bra, hun var jo råimponert over han, og han så cool. Men gosj så mye snø, mer enn vi har her nå. Ser helt perfekt ut. Kos dere :) (men seriøst, jobbe hjemmefra en uke pga snø? *fnis*)

LOVE these photos. THOSE ARE the cutest cookies ever! As for me - no winter in Phoenix. I hate to admit this, but I used the A/C in my car today.

Asher was reading your blog, and when he saw Bobby and the cookies - he asked that I write to ask if those were “dog” cookies, and if we could have the recipe! :)
That snow is amazing - I thought of you recently, since we have spent a lot of time agonizing over the weather in the PNW. (at work) Glad you guys were able to have fun in it!

Now you and I both know REI DON’T sell groceries!!! (A girl after my own heart - any excuse to visit there!) But whatever I’m still thinking its super cool to be skiing to any kind of shop!!

I agree with you 100% - things happen for a reason. I found this by accident and noticed that we have some things in common. Thats what I love about the Internet, every blog is like a box of chocolates :) Thanks - Great blog.
